在20世纪90年代头两年，全国各地纸箱厂纷纷涌向地处偏僻的宋河镇，天天从京山厂争相购机。该厂也由此兴旺起来。但两三年后，却渐渐冷下来了。这是因为，一方面单面机加工的纸箱，因纸板水分达不到标准，不能保证质量，特别是阴雨天气，用户限期要货却无法交货。如增加烘干装置，又用不起，而且烘干机又都不好使，许多纸箱厂开始还用一用，后来就成了废铁一堆，造成利润下降。另一方面，单面机产量低，不能满足企业发展的需要。
　　有一个厂为了扩大产量，进了两台单面机，但产值还是提不高。直到20世纪90年代中期，我国纸箱包装机械的领头企业——湖北京山、广东肇庆、河北邯郸、北京航机、浙江宁波、山东烟台、河南宇航等企业陆续开发出“瓦楞生产线”供应市场，一大批靠单面机发展起来的纸箱厂，纷纷使用生产线（普通）替代单面机。使单面机变为生产线的补充——在一些小规格、低档次、内销纸箱的加工生产中配套使用单面机。但为时不会太长，估计也就能再维持两三年的时间。
本纸箱机械是半自动链条送纸，双侧挡规定位，确保送纸印刷准确无误。
CAD模块设计可任意组合，单、双、多色印刷机组。
本纸箱机械各机组电动分合体，气动锁紧、放松。附有警铃、警灯提示更能提高操作的安全性。
机械停机时，着墨网辊自动脱离印版，以至不会损坏印版表面。
自吸式供墨装置，可单独控制网辊自动空转循环供墨，主机暂停进表面不至于干涸，自动清洗网纹辊。
所有传动辊、轴全部精磨加工、且镀硬铬处理。
印刷大版辊简采用挂版装置、轴身快速调整。使贴版时更准确，更省时，更省力。
本纸箱机械版辊开槽部周向采用快速相位360调整，读数表盘显示。开槽部电动相位调整，提高工作效率。
附有自动计数装置，能正确控制生产数量。
开槽切角部刀具特殊设计制造，使用寿命长，耐用度高。

Quick phasing 360°regulation is adopted is slotting part of drum ptinting plates, digital display.The slotting part has electrie phase adjustment to improve efficiency.
Automatic couting devices are adopted which can control the production quatity.
The knives for slotting and slicing corner are speically designed and processed with long service life.
